Potlatch

Idaho Recreation

Our 840,000 acres of forestlands in Idaho are a favorite retreat for hunters, campers, and other outdoor enthusiasts. Elk, deer, bear, and turkey are just some of the species that are plentiful. The links to the left provide additional information about the program.

We have grown! In January 2008, Potlatch completed the purchase of 179,000 acres of forestland in central Idaho near McCall, New Meadows and Cascade (click here to view map). Similar to the first phase of the recreation program that occurred on Potlatch's north Idaho lands in 2006, an assessment of recreational values for the new lands is underway but not yet complete. For this reason, we are not requiring Recreation Permits on the central Idaho lands at this time, but all users are subject to Potlatch's Recreation Use Guidelines. The public will be notified in advance when Recreation Permits are required on these lands.

We are currently accepting applications for 2008 Recreational Use Permits for our north Idaho lands.
